Neil Young, the first solo album (1968)

I. I’ve Been Waiting for You, three versions.

First, the album version without a video. The second one shows a live performance by Neil Young with Crazy Horse in 2001. Lastly, a cover. In general I hate the proliferation of covers found on youtube. (Although there are some good Neil Young cover bands and I may do a special site just for them.) This one catches some of the quiet subtleties of the song (complimented with powerful guitar solos) only hinted at in Young’s album track. I suspect there are acoustic versions by Neil I’ve yet to hear. The slide show is pretty cool too. Good job Powderfinger07.

II. The Loner- two versions

1. - An acoustic performance by Young of The Loner & Cinnamon Girl live at the Finjan folk cafe (Montreal, Quebec) in June of 1970. vid by gobacktogo.

2 – Although youtube source groovemonzter gives the wrong song title he does give some good info on the recording: “Part of the Halverston tapes. A sound board recording from 1970 when Neil Young was on tour with Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.” Length 3:20.

III.  Here We Are in the Years -3:26 (audio only)
